The PUBLIC HEARING for the Community Development Block Grant: April 20th 2018

The PUBLIC HEARING for the Community Development Block Grant was held at Town Hall on April 20, 2018 @4:00pm with the following present: Supervisor Chad Volpe, Councilman Matthew Howell, Councilman Brian Carey, Dominick Cambareri and Town Clerk Kathleen Myers.

NOT PRESENT:Councilman Jennings.

Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the Supervisor called the public hearing to order at 4:00pm.

No public was in attendance for this public hearing.

Supervisor Volpe explained the reason for the public hearing. Public hearing notices were printed in the Times Herald Record. The Town Clerk stated that the notices were on the table. They were also posted at the following locations: Village of Otisville Village Hall, Mount Hope Town Hall, Otisville Hardware, Ulee’s Truck & Auto, Otisville Convenience Gas Station, Wallkill Valley Federal Savings & Loan, Otisville Post Office, Mount Hope Country Store, Mount Hope Senior Center & the Mount Hope Police Station. The Supervisor asked for any comments or questions from the town board members. He thanked the board for coming and doing 2 emergency meetings and making this happen.

Councilman Howell asked if there was a confirmation of understanding for the FOTOS committee to pay for the ads. Supervisor Volpe: a verbal yes because we didn’t actually have the amounts.  He asked the Town Clerk for the amounts of the ads. Town Clerk: The English version was $42.40 and the Spanish version was $44.83. The total is $87.23.

There were no further comments from the board. Supervisor asked Kathleen to email Ken Pinkela the amount for the ads.

 

MOTION TO CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING:

MOTION offered by Councilman Cambareri 2ndCouncilman Howell to close public hearing at 4:05pm. All in favor: Howell, Carey, Volpe, Cambareri. Motion carried.

 

RESOLUTION FOR FY-2019 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT:

MOTION offered by Councilman Cambareri 2ndCouncilman Howell that the Town of Mount Hope is hereby submitting its application for consideration under the FY-2019 Orange Urban County Consortium Community Development Program and that the Town Supervisor is hereby authorized to submit this application. They further certify that they have read and understood the Orange Urban County Consortium Community Development guidelines for the FY-2019 program year and have met all of its applicable requirements and that the information contained in the application is accurate and true to the best of their knowledge.  All in favor: Howell, Carey, Volpe, Cambareri. Motion carried.

 

RESOLUTION FOR ADJOURNMENT:

MOTION offered by Councilman Howell 2nd Councilman Carey to adjourn the meeting at 4:05 pm.  All in favor: Howell, Carey, Volpe, Cambareri; carried.
